JADED HEART - Inside Out (1994)

[Review] JADED HEART - Inside Out (1994)

Artwork by : Herbert Menzel, André Lammert

Inside Out should be described as a "family" release for two main reasons : 1) brothers Michael and Dirk Bormann launched together the band, 2) father Udo Bormann and his son Michael produced together the album. That doesn't mean we've to forget MAD MAX's drummer Axel Kruse and bass player Michael Müller.

Released in 1994, this first try was oriented AOR/Hard-Rock and closed to typical German musical scene (ZENO, DOMAIN, BONFIRE etc.), even if there's a small US touch. For keyboard lines, the band called a studio musician named Stefan Braun. From all those fantastic songs (for example, How Many Tears, Hold On, Surrender, Take Me Back), there's one who always gets my attention because it's a ... special song! It's Missing You which really reminds me of I Was Made For Loving You, from KISS!
